Are Boats Really a Terrible Investment?

But are boats really that bad of an investment? It’s true you shell out a considerable amount of money for the initial purchase of a boat. Maintenance is also a serious matter as marina slip, fuel, service, and repair cost can be very expensive. In fact, the initial cost can be the cheapest you’ll pay, given the total expenses you’ll incur out of maintaining a boat. Purchasing a boat just to resell it afterwards is not also ideal. The value won’t be worth it considering the expenses you paid to keep it in good shape thru the years, especially if you don’t get to use it very often. Basically, if you’re investing on a boat and expecting to get rewarded financially, be ready for a huge disappointment. However, these aren’t all you’ll get when investing on a boat, either. Purchasing a boat may not be
