Row Your Boat: Chaparral 420 Premiere Review

Chaparral Boats are known for its innovative design, but what makes its flagship—the 420 Premiere—a unique motorboat for sale in the Philippines? Join us in another boat review and find out what the 420 Premiere can offer to future boat owners.

Aboard the 420 Premiere

One noticeable feature of the 420 Premiere is the “pickle fork” styling to the bow. Standard power is a twin 370hp Volvo Penta IPS500 diesel with joystick docking. The two staterooms are also worth mentioning, both having their own head and shower. The master stateroom also houses an electrically-operated island bed which flips down if you need extra space. The aft stateroom, on the other hand, offers a convertible L-shaped seating that converts into a queen-size bed.

The 42ft model also comes with loads of standard inclusions for dining and entertainment such as solid surface countertops, electric grill, stainless steel refrigerator, flat screen TV, and air conditioning/heater powered by a soundproof 10.0 kW Kohler diesel generator among others.

Pros

Thanks to the pickle fork, owners of Chaparral 420 Premiere can enjoy a spacious master stateroom as this feature significantly increased the model’s beam forward. The 370hp engine is also a nice match for this motorboat for sale, giving it quiet, comfortable, and economical cruising capabilities over waters in the Philippines, which makes the model more like a sports yacht than a sports boat. Chaparral 420 Premiere’s standard inclusions may also seem like trivial stuff, but these small details are also the very things that make the big difference about this model.

Cons

Aside from loads of amenities for dining and entertainment, the Chaparral 420 Premiere is also loaded with various features on its helm dash. From 12in Garmin touchscreen with GPS-plotter, Volvo Penta engine gauges to trim tab controls & indicators, the helm dash got tons of stuff to impress you. However, this leaves less room if you want to install a second screen, which could not really be a deal breaker.

The Verdict

Comfort for the family while keeping the chic look of the Chaparral line, the 420 Premiere is an economical choice if you want to own a motorboat for sale in the Philippines. With its spacious design, it would make a great boat for families looking to hop from one island to another in their leisure times.
